Daniel Cedar
Tour Guide

About me
My name is Daniel Cedar. I was born and raised in an American home in Jerusalem, and currently live in a small town in the northern part of Israel.
As a result I know my way around both the picturesque alleys of the old city as well as I know the hiking nature trails up north.
I am a friendly and easy-going person, who loves meeting new people. My guiding style is conversational – you are welcome to ask questions and raise issues and I will be more than happy to elaborate on any topic!
I spent some years working in a kitchen, I am a foodie and I know the best places to eat everywhere we will go!
I studied land of Israel and biblical studies in Haifa University.
I am married and a father of three.

Thank you all for making our trip to Israel so incredible. Every aspect of our trip exceeded our expectations. We clearly had the best tour guide in all of Israel. We credit Daniel’s vast knowledge of history and his fabulous demeanor and patience with our 3 generations of travelers with making each and every day of our trip such a special and memorable experience. come to visit to LA one day. I am sure we can work it out! (Book your trip, Daniel!) Nobody in our group wanted to leave Israel, and our kids did everything in their power to try and have us miss our flight. Our older son, Sam, came to Israel claiming that he hated learning about history and identified more as an atheist than a Jew. For him, history came alive, and he is already planning his birthright trip. Our younger son, Max, enjoyed a bar mitzvah that was truly special and memorable thanks to Rabbi Don. I know we had a lot of specific requests, and you both worked hard to make everything on our wish list possible. We especially enjoyed staying at the Inbal Hotel, touring the water tunnels, Masada, the Dead Sea, Ayalon Institute, Yad Vashem, the City of David, and Golan Heights jeep tour. We will have memories to last a lifetime. Thank you again to all of you!

Words fail to praise Daniel Cedar enough. To a person in each of the trips I have done with him (at least 4 so far), everybody responds to him with actual love. The man generates a sense of warmth and hospitality that is extremely effective for these audiences. He is not intrusive, he does not overwhelm with information, he is flexible and a superb team player. And he kept in mind an incredible number of moving pieces, which worked with very few (unavoidable) glitches. He was great with Charles in helping him get clothes while waiting for his suitcase. I would ask that as soon as an AI trip is booked, he be booked right away. He transmits an understated love for Israel—something, alas, hard to find around …
